I can safely say we were all awed by Red’s artistic adventures. Maybankers all around the region tuned in both virtually and physically at Menara Maybank. During the Episode, Red shared her journey from architect to artist and showed us many famous pieces while storytelling its creative process. Red's pieces are fantastical and the materials she uses are sometimes humble (like chopsticks!) but meaningful and I think that's a testament to her spectacular creative vision. Red stretches herself beyond her canvas by incorporating some performing arts into her exhibitions to create a more immersive experience. Maybankers present physically also got a special treat - a workshop with Red herself! We split into groups of 6-8 and enthusiastically teared up old newspaper and magazines to create a collage that depicted one of GenM's themes: Learn, Play or Defy.
Red Hong Yi, who "paints without a paintbrush" is a prime example of how self-expression and creativity can manifest in the most unconventional way. We hope you managed to to find your voice, hone your creativity and found a space to express yourself. Red Hong Yi's journey from architect to artist serves as a reminder that everyone has a unique voice to tell stories and connect with others.
