The Coffee Connoisseur was a success! We blind tasted 5 different coffee's to understand the different flavors and unique notes. Jun from Drum Coffee Roaster gave a short presentation on how specialty coffee develops its different flavor profiles from the orgination of beans to roasting and then the brewing process. Most importantly, all of us got the chance to brew our own coffee using the different equipments and methods taught by the Barista's themselves!
Coffee is one of the most sophisticated beverages in the world, and it's definitely a daily staple for many Maybankers. I wanted to bring a deeper appreciation towards coffee beyond its taste and ability to supercharge us throughout the day. I hope this will allow you to appreciate coffee not just to get us through our back-to-back meetings, but the supply chain that is involved with it.
